YOU DON'T HAVE TO PRAY TO BE A VICTOR; YOU ARE ALREADY A VICTOR

Thanks be to God, who gives us victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brethren,
be steadfast, unmoveable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord
for as much as you know your labor is not in vain
in the Lord.

- I Corinthians 15: 58
__________________________________

God did not create you to become victim of circumstances.
You were created to be a victor. God has promised you to live
a life that is abundant and victorious.
You were not created to be dominated by challenges.
You were created to dominate any challenges.
The general approach for a victorious life starts in this -

Be Thankful
The verse said,
"Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
The truth is this, we don't actually have to pray to have victory.
You don't ask what you already have.
God has made us victorious thru what Jesus has done on the Cross.
We are already victors.
You need to claim it, believe it and be thankful for it.
When you are thankful that you have a sure victory everyday,
you will automatically live as a victor.

Believe That You Are Greatly Loved
The verse said,
"Therefore, my BELOVED brethren..."
The word "beloved" originated from God. He is Love.
And the key to be tough over any challenges is to believe that you are loved.
Why is it that there are some who are depressed in life though they already have all material things they want?
It's because they need the most important of all - "to be loved."
When you believe you are loved, you can proceed without hesitancy, without doubt,
without guilt and without condemnation.
Take note that the word "beloved" came before the word " be steadfast."
If you can't believe you are loved, you can never be steadfast in life.

Be Tough
The verse said,
"Be steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord."
Toughness is not being cruel. Toughness is not being without emotion.
Toughness is not being filled with anger and hate.
A true tough person is a person who can love.
Look at how fathers will risk everything just to save their children who are in dangers. Look at how a man will forsake everything just for a love of a woman. And just consider how the Lord Jesus forsook everything just to die on the cross. That's real toughness, man!
You can only be tough if you know you are loved.
God loves you.
The people who knows and believes that Someone loves them
are the people who can endure any difficulties and who can withstand any trials.
A person without love can easily quit, and will easily give up.
Love - this is tough.

Remember, you are already a victor.
Act like one.

A PRACTICAL CHECKLIST IN MAKING DECISIONS ABOUT YOUR JOB OR CAREER

As a spiritual mentor, there are lots of career people who asked counsel from me in regard to the job they will take or to the career path they will tread. They asked if the word of God has practical guidelines in which they can know to base their decisions. As far as I know, the answer is - Yes. There are practical guidelines which we can make as a checklist before making decision about our jobs and career.

The checklist which I refer to is found in Philippians 4 4- 9:
"Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto men. Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God, and the peace of God which passes understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally brethren, whatsoever is true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do; and the God of peace shall be with you."
So let me arrange to you this checklist based on these verses and as you make you decisions concerning your job or career, consider these first:

Prayer
What you face is not a - problem, but an exciting challenge to pray. This prayer must be a prayer of rejoicing and not sadness. This means that you are not complaining with your present situation but rather being thankful of what you have, no matter how hard the challenge is. This prayer is of thanksgiving and not of complaining attitude. It must not be based on complaints because complaints clouds our decision, and besides, complaints also breeds complaints. What you complain now, you will again complain in your new job. Approach things in a positive and thankful attitude. Hence, this prayer must be a declaration of your faith that better things are about to come in the decisions you will make. You make decisions based on inspiration and not on desperation. And at times, you have to wait.

Purpose
Is this job aligned with your life's purpose? Will these be true, honest, pure, lovely and of good report? Or let me revise the question - "Will this MAKE YOU true, honest, pure, lovely and of good report?" If the answer is "Yes" then go for it, but if not, then don't.

Passion
Do you really like this work? Be sure this aligns to your passion because if it is not your passion, you will never last with it. Don't sacrifice payment in exchange of your purpose and passion because you will only be efficient in any work when you are passionate with what you are doing and not just because you are just being paid.

Payment
Is the payment aligned with the first three checklist? Is it favorable and fair? Of course, you must consider these also because the word of God also teaches that the worker is worthy of his hire[Luke 10:17; Also read Deut. 24:15]

Progress
Will this be a stepping stone towards the fulfillment of your dreams? Will this job be a stop-over, a detour or a  main avenue towards your dreams?

Peace of God
As you depend on God in prayer, God will surely give you peace in making the right decision, and also right after you already made the decision. God is not the author of confusion. He will always guide you to what is best. You take note in the last part of the verse that it said, "DO, and the God of peace shall be with you."

Projection
This is what amazed me about faith and declaration. The reason why the above verse said, "The peace of God passes understanding" because there maybe things you may not understand in making decisions but because you believe in God's leading, for sure He will give you peace that even passes understanding. You don't have to know everything or else you will live by sight and not by faith. This is what faith plays a vital part. Don't declare what you don't want. Believe and declare what you want.  Believe and declare that your God can control everything to give you favor, and be excited with it. Anything is possible to him or her who believes.

You can add to these checklist but this is so far what I use based on these verses.
You don't have to be confused nor fear because when you believe, God will move according to your faith.
Believe that the best is yet to come. You are highly favored, don't forget that.

DISAPPOINTMENTS ARE HIS APPOINTMENTS

Disappointments happen to us all sometimes.
It can sadden us.
It can hurt us.
But it can also challenge us.

Yes, it can challenge us to look at it in a different perspective, and instead discouraging us, we can make it work for us. How?

Simply by changing the letter "D" in the word "disappointment" and replace it with "H."

Hence, D--isappointments become H-isappointments.

Make it an Appointment of Praise.
Complain cannot change things. The truth is, it just aggravates the situation.
This is one of the hardest thing to do, but this is how turning points of blessings happen. It is when we praise God through any disappointment that happened to us.
You can praise the Lord for not allowing things to happen as you expect it to be, because it means God has a better plan for you far better than what you expected to be. Someday, you will thank God's "No's" because they will point to His "Yes." So, why wait for someday when you can praise Him today? Praise Him. When things didn't work out as you expect it to be, for sure God is working something out far better than what you expected.

Make it An Appointment with Preparation
When things didn't go as you expect it to be, it could be that you may not be ready yet. This could be His ways of preparing you more, or it could be that He knows that this certain "break" could literally break you- break your family, break your heart and break your faithfulness. So, when disappointment comes, take it a challenge to prepare more. Think of this - God is more concerned of what you will be than what you will have in life.

Make it An Appointment with Your Purpose
Sometimes, a certain thing is not allowed by God to be given to us in order to re-align us to our true purpose in life. Sometimes, we commit this mistake of competing with other people that we thought our lives should also be like their lives. But each one of us has different calling, different potentials and different purpose. Maybe God allowed disappointment in order to point you of who you really should be, because God knows you will never be happy in life unless you live according to your purpose.

Make it An Appointment with Prosperity
Simply because one closed door means another door is opened for you. Why spent your strength trying to open a closed door when a bigger door is opened wide for you? Isn't this a wonderful truth? You will be more thankful of His "No" in the future because on how this lead you to prosper.

We all know the trials of Job, but we also knew how he was so blessed at the end. He testified -
He performs the thing that is appointed for me; and many such things are with Him. - Job 23:14
I declare this in my life - "Yes, Lord, you are the One who performs the thing that is appointed for me, and my, many such things are with You when you do it."

So, if you are undergoing disappointment, just change the letter "D" to "H" and you will discover that everything are His appointments. You don't have to fret. Everything will be okay.
The truth is, nothing can disappoint us to defeat. Everything just points to His better plan for us.

DECLARE EVERYDAY: "I AM JUST GETTING BETTER"

Message Delivered September 26, 2010 Evening Service . Place of Hope

God did not plan our lives to be stagnant,
mediocre, boring or declining.
God planned our lives to be growing,
excelling, improving and thriving.

When someone ask you- "How are you?'
Is your reply, "As usual"? "Just the same?"
God did not plan your life to be as usual either.
As a child of God, you are what you declare.
Declare instead - "Just gettin' better."

The story of Jesus healing the man with a withered hand is an example of
living life to the fullest after healing. The man after was healed by Jesus can never say the words
"as usual." For sure, he will say, "I'm just getting better!" in exuberant joy.

For this man who used to have a withered hand, what Jesus did for him was a miracle.

Savor Your Sense of Touch
What do you think are the first things this man will do after he was healed?
Of course, he will be touching anything he can touch!
He will be the one who claps the loudest. He will be the one who is so industrious.
He will be hugging his wife and his children when he went home.
Compared to you, you still have your hands.
You can work. You can touch people's lives. You can hug your loved ones.
You can enjoy life.
Life just keeps gettin' better, isn't it?

Share The Story of Your Transformation
This man who used to have a withered hand will keep on pointing people to Jesus.
He will be boldly telling his story how he was healed.
Though in hard times, you can still declare that life is gettin' better because
your setbacks will just be the set-up of how Jesus will bless you.
All of these experiences will just be a part of your success story.
People around us will notice our liveliness, happiness and positivism, and when
they ask, we can point them to Jesus.
Life just keeps gettin' better, right?

Show Your Service Out of Thanksgiving
This man who used to have a withered hand don't need a pep talk, a seminar,
a conference, a tap in the back, a guideline, or even rules to follow
just for him to serve the Lord.
He will naturally serve the Lord because he was so thankful.
This is moving because of grace.
How about you? Is your Christian life getting better or getting boring?
If it is boring, it could be your serving because you just want to have blessings.
If it is so hard, maybe because you are serving because of rules and pressures.
Serve out of thanksgiving and service will be a pleasure.
We work not to have grace. We work because of grace.
And because of grace, we will do everything in excellence
more than we can based on the law.
Everyday, our service keeps gettin' better
because life just keep gettin' better.

So, let me ask you -

How are you?

FROM WITHERED HANDS TO WINNING HANDS

[Message delivered September 26, 2010 about the story of Jesus healing the man with a withered hand.]

Mark 3:14 - "And he[Jesus] entered again into the synagogue,
and there was the man with a withered hand."

The man with a withered hand can represent people whose
heart has already withered from serving God.
It is a representation of withered relationships, withered finances,
withered passion, and withered life.
It can also represent a church whose heart has withered
from being passionate for Jesus.

But Jesus came to heal the man with a withered hand.
Jesus will come to you to heal you
in a time people least expect[Sabbath] for
He will defy the norms. He will defy the wrong things that has
been said about you. He will defy the impossibilities.

God will change your withered hands into winning hands.

All you got to do is:

SHOW UP
You don't have to bring anything, just show up.
It is not complicated as you think, just show up.
What happened if that man didn't show up where Jesus was?
You will miss many things if you don't show up where Jesus is working.

Show up though it may be common.
show up though there is crisis.
Show up though there are critics.
Show up because it is for Jesus Christ.

STAND OUT
God will use the setbacks of your life to be the set-up of God's blessing in your life.
You were not designed to blend in. You were designed to stand out.

Stand out even in bad situations.
Stand out in boldness.
Stand out in the blessings of God.

STRETCH FORTH
Jesus asked from him what he has never done before.
Jesus will ask you what you have never done before.

Stretch forth though it is hard.
Stretch forth though it hurts.
Stretch forth for it will heal you.

The withered hands became winning hands.
It was just one hand he stretched out but both hands were healed.
When you show up, stand out and stretched out in faith,
God will heal your both hands.

God wants to heal your withered hands to become winning hands.

The question is-

Will you show up?
Will you stand out?
Will you stretch forth?

BIG DREAMS PLUS BEST SHOTS EQUALS BREAKTHROUGHS

God will show His power to those who dare to believe even against all odds.
God promised in His words,
all things are possible to him who believes.
By believing, one can have this formula to succeed in life, first:

God Can!
This speaks of
Big Dreams

When you dream, dream big!
You have a big God and He owns everything.
When you believe, your talents, potentials and resources will
work together with the challenges, situations and opportunities.
It is because God can make your dreams come true.
But be sure you believe,

Now you have big dreams, add to these:

You Can!
This speaks of your
Best Shots
The day may seem filled with drudgery and commonness
but it is not the reason for you not to give your best shot.
You give your best shot because you believe
you are not just working for the present but you are getting ready for the future.
The best weapon you have right now against any challenges is to say "I can."

Big dreams plus your best shots means:

You Can Change!
This speaks of
Breakthroughs
In all the fulfillment of these dreams, the outmost outcome must be the better change of our lives.
The purpose of realization of dreams is the revolution of our lives.

Time for you to eradicate doubts and fear.
time for you to let God work in your life.
believe.

Dream BIG DREAMS because God can.
Do your BEST SHOTS because You Can.

Declare BREAKTHROUGHS because You Can Change.

Big Dreams plus Best shots equals Breakthroughs.

FOLLOW FIRST THEN YOU WILL KNOW

FOLLOW FIRST
THEN YOU WILL KNOW

Hosea 6:3

Then shall we know, [if] we FOLLOW ON to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter [and] former rain unto the earth.

You don't have to know everything before you follow the Lord because if you already
know everything, you will no longer need God. The prerequisite of God for us to know
is for us to follow first.

THE BIG "IF"
"Then shall we know, if..."
Man's concept: "I know first before I follow."
God's concept: "Follow first then you will know."

THE BIG FOCUS
", follow on to know the Lord "
When your focus is the Lord, God will help you focus.
When our focus is not the Lord, we will gaze our sight somewhere else.

THE BIG FAVOR
"..His going forth is prepared as the morning"
Your favor is already prepared in the morning
but you will not fully utilize this if all you do is sit and wait.

THE BIG FULFILLMENT
"He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth"
Former and latter rain speaks of double favor for you.
But you will not realize this if you will not follow.
What's the use of the rain if you have not prepared your land and your crops?

Follow,
then you shall know.

Why You Should Not Feel Inferior

Job is the man who lost all of his children in one day in a freak accident.
He lost all of his wealth and resources.
And to make the matters worse, he even contracted a rare disease which filled all of his body with boils.
If you are Job, what perhaps will be your words?

You know what Job declared in Job 13:2? Here it is and you will be amazed -
"I am not inferior."
What, Job? You lost all of your children, you lost all of your wealth, and you are sick with a rare disease, and you can still declare that you are not inferior? Job can answer, "Yes, I am not inferior."

Job has all the reasons to feel inferior, but he chose not to.
Inferiority is not based on circumstances. It is based on choice.
You can only be inferior with your consent. If you allow yourself to be inferior, then you are.

Circumstances ought not to make you inferior.
You must be above any situation. Your looks, your status in life, your education, or your handicaps ought not to make you inferior. Dignity do not depend on these things. The wealth and success of others ought not make you feel inferior because your significance do not rest on things, nor on the standard of others. Your worth do not depends on your past, but on your totality as being a child of God.

Criticism ought not to make you inferior.
No one has the right to make you inferior. No matter how hurting the words can be lashed against you but it is still your choice not to feel inferior. You will only be inferior if you go to the level or below the level of your critics. Your worth do not depends on what people says, but rather on how God sees you.

Crisis ought not to make you inferior.
Take crisis as a challenge. Crisis happens but our dignity do not depend on how much money we have in our pocket. Your worth do not depend on Bulgaris, Calvin Klein, Mercedes Benz, or on mansions. Your worth depends on the One who gave His life for you.

Let me tell you why you ought not to think and feel inferior -

He who has God can never be inferior.

Believe how loved you are by our loving Father. Appreciate how you are being blessed by God. When you always think positively that all things work out together for good, when you always base your significance on God, when you always think that you are a victor, - inferiority can never sets in  your heart. Why? Because you have God.

You are not like Job.
You have your family.
You have your job, your business, your career.
You have a good health.
Can't you see how blessed you are today?
Above all, you have God.

Why feel inferior?

How To Heal Your Wounds

First, clean your wounds with forgiveness.
Confess your sins to God and believe you are forgiven.
Forgive yourself.
Forgive others.
If you will not clean your wounds, it will be infected if you just put a band-aid on it.
Be sure you clean it first.

Put Good Hope.
You must always be the person who always gives hope to people instead of discouraging people.
You are the one who cheer people wherever you go.
You are the one who always act with hope and grace.
This world is already filled with negativity, don't add more to that number.
Declare goodness, blessings and hope.

Put Good Words.
Nothing will change for the better if we speak bad words.
Nothing will change if we speak negatively.
No problem will be solved if all we do is speak wrongly.
Your wound will not heal if all you do is just speak negatively
about yourself. Speak good words about yourself and about others.
Blessing is not a blessing unless spoken.
You have the power to bless.
Speak blessings. Speak good words.

Put Good Works.
Don't wallow in self-pity.
It is time for you to do something.
Do some good works.
Don't be idle. Be busy.
Explore new things.
Help other people.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO CHANGE A MAN?

We all want change.
We all desire progress.
We want to change something, someone.
We want to change the church.
We want to change the world.

But before we can change anything, we must change ourselves first.
Before God will allow you to change anything or anyone, change must start in yourself first.
Be the change you want to see in this world.

So, I am asking "What does it take to change a man?"

God has to break me first.
There are lots of wrong intentions, wrong attitudes and wrong mindset that I have. There are issues in my heart that must be settled. This is why God has to break me so that my pride, independence and unbelief be all stripped away from me. God knows that I cannot change anything unless He change me first. God's unconventional method- He has to break me first, and my reaction ought not to be resentment, rebellion or recklessness, but rather submission.
I must totally - submit.

God has to mold me.
After the breaking, it means I am ready now for the molding. I will be molded in His design and not in my own perception. Meaning, I got to surpass this stage because for sure, this will be hard and painful, but God guaranteed that He will bring out the best in me.
Hence, I must surpass this.

God will use me now.
After the breaking and the molding, I am ready now to be used by God. Simply because, He loves me.
No more pride, angst and other issues of the heart, but rather passion, humility and - surrender. This is the turning point of my life. All I got to do is never to run away but
to - surrender.

These are the things that God will do to change a man.

How about you? What does it take to change you?

What It Means To Walk in The Light

WHAT IT MEANS
TO WALK IN THE LIGHT
I JOHN 1:7 -
If we walk in the light, as he is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleansed us from all sin.

Walking with The FATHER
"If we walk in the light..."
God is the Light and walking in the light means
walking in relationship with Him.

Walking with FOCUS
", as he is in the light "
It is easier to focus on the light than on the darkness.

Walking with FELLOWSHIP
"..we have fellowship with one another."
Walking in the light means not walking alone.
It means walking with love with others.

Walking with FORGIVENESS
"and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all our sins."
A person who has unforgiving heart can never walk in the light.

Four Responses You Can Make To Those Who Have Offended You

FOUR RESPONSES YOU CAN MAKE
TO THOSE WHO HAVE OFFENDED YOU
As we forgive those who sinned against us...

We live in an imperfect world with imperfect people, and
the Church is not excluded from this.
Inevitably, offenses comes.
Four responses you can make toward offenses.

REFUSAL
The danger of letting offense simmer unchallenged is the rooting of bitterness.
When we refuse to address our issue, we become more cynical and judgmental
against that person.
REVENGE
We are waiting for something wrong to happen to that person.
RESPECT
Let us not loose this value for others. We maybe different from each other
but let us always give a room of respect.
RESTORE
Forgive.

Your choice.
Whatever you choose, it will always come back to you.
